Previously Ontario milk transporters were represented by the Milk Transporters' Division of the Automotive Transport Association of Ontario. When the O.M.T.A. came into being in 1967 it had approximately 150 members. The Ontario Milk Transport Association provides essential services for its members. It represents its members in negotiations with the Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) with regard to rates to be applied for the pick-up and delivery of milk. The Association represents its members in discussion with all levels of Government with respect to regulation changes such as milk quality and certification of bulk tank milk graders.
